- Final Thoughts on Choosing a Forward Deployed AI Engineering Partner
State of Forward Deployed AI Engineering Partners in 2027
Forward deployed engineers, as overused as the term is today, are still the fastest way we know to get AI out of a pilot and into the work. The model is simple. Put engineers next to the people who do the job, make them own the outcome, and judge them on what reaches production. Palantir built a company on that idea long before large language models. In 2026 the rest of the industry caught up. OpenAI launched a Deployment Company to embed forward deployed engineers in client organizations. Anthropic co-founded Ode with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman and Goldman Sachs, then committed $100 million to train 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers by the end of 2027. Accenture launched a forward deployed engineering practice with Microsoft, and EY created dedicated Forward Deployed AI Engineering roles.
The label spread faster than the practice. Plenty of what gets sold as forward deployed engineering is staff augmentation with a new title: a contractor in your Slack, billing hours, with nobody accountable for whether anything ships. We built this list of forward deployed AI engineering partners to separate the two, for mid-market and enterprise operators, including private equity firms and their portfolio companies. We ranked firms on whether their engineers embed with the people doing the work, ship to production, name clients, and stay after launch. We left out talent marketplaces that place individual engineers without owning an outcome. Where a firm made the list on thin public evidence, we say so in its entry.
TL:DR; — Top Forward Deployed AI Engineering Firms
- PressW: A team of 100% Anthropic-certified forward-deployed engineers who embed with your operators, ship on fixed build cycles, and keep running the system after launch through a managed AI service.
- Ode with Anthropic: Anthropic's own services firm, built for mid-sized companies, with Anthropic's Applied AI engineers working inside the engagement. The deepest model access on this list.
- Caylent: Two kinds of forward deployed engineers, one for engineering teams and one for business functions, backed by production results that Anthropic published.
Key Advantages of Working With a Forward Deployed AI Engineering Partner
Most AI programs stall in the gap between a working demo and the people who would have to use it every day.
Anthropic said as much when it launched its Frontier Academy in October. The company said the people who can make AI work inside a real business have become the hardest talent to find, and it noted that professionals across 46,000 firms already hold more than 175,000 Claude certifications. Certifications are plentiful. Engineers who can take a use case through security review to real adoption are scarce. Anthropic's own Services Track reflects the same priority: partner tiers count production customers and public customer stories alongside certified headcount.
Here is what a real partner changes.
The engineer sits with the operator. A forward deployed engineer interviews the claims processor, the controller, or the dispatcher before writing code. The system gets built around how the work actually happens, which is usually different from the process document.
Someone owns the outcome. Staff augmentation sells hours. A forward deployed partner signs up for a result, such as a workflow in daily use, a cycle time cut, or a cost removed, and is measured on it.
Production is the finish line. A pilot that never ships is the default failure in this category. Real forward deployed teams carry the work through integration, evaluation, access controls, and the first month of live use.
The build fits your stack and your controls. Your ERP, your CRM, your data warehouse, and your security review are where generalist builds stall. Embedded engineers hit those walls in week two instead of month six.
Someone is still there in month six. The tech is relatively easy nowadays. It's the people side. Adoption, retraining, and changing how a team operates decide whether the system survives, and that takes a partner who stays.
How We Ranked These Forward Deployed Engineering Firms
Five things, weighted in this order:
- Embedded model reality. Do the firm's engineers work inside client teams and workflows, and does the firm say who owns the outcome? An engineer who never meets the operator is a contractor.
- Shipped production outcomes. We gave the most weight to published results from systems in production, with numbers attached. Pilots and certification counts earned less credit.
- Named clients. Can we verify who the firm worked for, ideally on a third-party page such as Anthropic's customer stories?
- Model and platform depth. We looked for certified engineers, published lab partnerships, and standing in programs that tie credit to production work. A multi-model firm is fine. A firm with no visible depth on any model is not.
- Post-launch ownership and mid-market fit. Does the firm run the system after launch, and can it serve a $50M to $1B revenue company without a Fortune 100 engagement minimum?
1. PressW
A team of 100% Anthropic-certified forward-deployed engineers who sit with your operators, ship to production, and stay to run what they built.

We built our Forward Deployed AI Engineering practice for companies that tried AI, got a promising pilot, and then stalled. Our forward-deployed engineers start by interviewing the people who do the work. They map the real process, find where hours disappear, and turn that process into a scoped, testable system. Everything runs through TransformationOS, our methodology for rapid AI transformation, so your team knows what ships in each cycle and what it costs.
Every build runs on a fixed cycle with checkpoints. Each agent ships with evals, telemetry, and human approval gates, so your team can see what the system did and step in when it matters. Our proprietary Argos platform gives you transparent reporting on usage analytics and adoption metrics, which means you can see whether people actually use what we built. Then the engineers stay. We're kind of like an IT MSP, but for AI: the same team that ships the system keeps operating, tuning, and extending it through our Managed AI Services.
AI Transformation: AI & Data Readiness Assessment, Forward Deployed AI Engineering, Custom AI Application & Platform Development, Data Engineering, Data Lake Build Out, AI Change Management
Managed AI Services: Claude Deployment, Configuration & Maintenance, Custom Claude Agent & Workflow Development, Claude License Management, Token & Usage Analytics, Token Optimization, AI Security, Compliance & Governance, AI Training & Support
Standout Clients: Lorient Capital, Coustier Advisory (see the recent Claude case study), S3 Ventures
Best For: Mid-market and enterprise companies, including PE-backed portfolio companies, that want embedded engineers to put AI into a real workflow and keep it running after launch.
Why Choose PressW:
- SOC 2 Type II certified, an Official Anthropic Partner, and a Claude-first engineering team, with every forward-deployed engineer Anthropic-certified.
- Fixed build cycles with checkpoints, plus evals, telemetry, and human approval gates in every agent, reported through Argos.
- One team from discovery to operations, because Managed AI Services keeps the builders on the system after launch.
Keep in Mind: We're a boutique. We scale quickly, but if you need hundreds of engineers across dozens of countries on day one, a global firm further down this list fits that shape better than we do.
2. Ode with Anthropic
Anthropic's own services firm, with Anthropic's Applied AI engineers working inside the engagement.

Anthropic announced the firm in May 2026 with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman and Goldman Sachs, backed by General Atlantic, Leonard Green, Apollo Global Management, GIC and Sequoia Capital. The stated customer is the mid-sized company: community banks, mid-sized manufacturers, regional health systems. Applied AI engineers from Anthropic work alongside the firm's own engineering team. Only OpenAI's Deployment Company, further down this list, has a comparable tie to a model lab.
The engagement model reads like a textbook forward deployed description. A small team works closely with the customer to find where Claude has the biggest impact. Then engineers build systems into the workflows staff already use, shaped by the people closest to the work. Ode's core came from Fractional AI, the applied AI engineering firm it acquired in May, and it launched under the Ode name in July with about 100 engineers. In August it bought Casper Studios, its second consultancy in four months. The deal announcement said a shared client, Sphera, cut operational bottlenecks by 70%.
Services: Use-case discovery, custom Claude system builds, long-term support, delivered alongside Anthropic's Applied AI team
Standout Clients: Sphera (named in the Casper Studios acquisition announcement)
Best For: Mid-sized companies, especially inside its backers' portfolios, that want Claude built by the people closest to the model.
Why Choose Ode:
- Anthropic is an owner, and its Applied AI engineers work on the engagement
- An explicit mid-market focus, written into the founding announcement
- A senior engineering core inherited from Fractional AI, now growing through acquisition
Keep in Mind: Ode publishes almost no outcomes yet, and the Sphera figure is self-reported. Its backers plan to use their portfolio companies as an initial route to market, so outside buyers should ask about capacity and timelines. It follows a Claude-first principle, which is a strength only if Claude is your platform.
3. Caylent
Two kinds of forward deployed engineers, one for engineering teams and one for business functions, with production results Anthropic published.

Caylent launched Anthropic Consulting & Engineering, its dedicated Anthropic practice, on 28 April 2026, and it is a charter member of the Claude Partner Network. The practice hires two kinds of forward deployed engineers. Technology-Workforce FDEs embed in engineering, product and IT teams. Operational FDEs embed in business functions such as finance, HR, legal and supply chain. We have not seen another firm split the role that clearly.
The production evidence is unusually strong. Anthropic's Caylent case study reports a 90% cut in engineering hours on a 2,500-procedure database migration, $600,000 in annual licensing eliminated for a global enterprise SaaS customer, and migrations 58% to 82% faster across four more engagements. Caylent serves more than 1,200 AWS customers, and more than 85% of its 900-plus people use Claude daily. As an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, it runs its Caylent Accelerate delivery system inside customers' own AWS environments through Amazon Bedrock.
Services: Anthropic Consulting & Engineering, Technology-Workforce and Operational FDEs, Caylent Accelerate, agentic SDLC, database and cloud migration, Claude on Amazon Bedrock
Standout Clients: The Anthropic-published case study describes customers without naming them. Caylent lists named Claude clients on its own site.
Best For: AWS-standardized companies that want forward deployed engineers in both engineering and the back office.
Why Choose Caylent:
- Quantified production results, published by Anthropic, not only by the firm
- A clear split between engineering-side and operations-side forward deployed engineers
- Deep AWS engineering, which matters when the system has to live next to your data
Keep in Mind: Claude work runs through Amazon Bedrock. If you run on Azure or GCP, or want Claude Enterprise direct, treat that as a real architectural constraint. The forward deployed practice launched in April 2026, so its track record is younger than the firm's.
4. Distyl AI
The purest Palantir-style forward deployed model on this list, sized for the Fortune 500.

Distyl came out of Palantir's forward deployed tradition and built its business on the same idea: embedded teams that design, build and run production AI workflows alongside customer teams. It raised $175 million at a $1.8 billion valuation in September 2025, led by Lightspeed and Khosla Ventures. The work runs on its Distillery platform, so clients get a product layer as well as engineers.
Distyl works with Fortune 500 companies in healthcare, telecom, insurance, manufacturing and financial services, and T-Mobile is a named customer. The company reports more than $23 million in annual savings for a healthcare payor and an 80% cut in root cause analysis time for a hardware manufacturer. In April 2026 it announced a Google Cloud partnership that pairs its forward deployed model with Gemini, on top of existing work with OpenAI and Anthropic models.
Services: Forward deployed engineering teams, Distillery platform, enterprise AI transformation, production workflow operations
Standout Clients: T-Mobile
Best For: Fortune 500 companies that want a venture-backed forward deployed team with a product platform underneath.
Why Choose Distyl:
- Forward deployed DNA inherited from Palantir
- Embedded teams that run what they build, on a real product platform
- Multi-model across OpenAI, Anthropic and Google
Keep in Mind: Its outcome figures are self-reported, and it names very few clients. The Fortune 500 orientation is a different buyer from a $200M revenue company. It is multi-model by design, so it is not the pick if you want a Claude specialist.
5. HatchWorks AI
Start with one embedded engineer, then scale to a pod, with every engineer Anthropic-certified.

HatchWorks AI sells forward deployed engineering in sizes. Its entry point is a single forward deployed engineer, described as a senior builder who works across business, product, data and engineering. HatchWorks says plainly that this is not staff augmentation and that a client can start with one engineer and scale. It also says every one of its forward deployed engineers is Anthropic-certified and trained in its GenDD delivery method.
When the work needs more than one person, HatchWorks moves the client to an Agentic AI Pod, with product, engineering and QA coverage accountable for a defined result. After joining the Claude Partner Network, it described three routes to Claude in production: individual engineers, pods, and end-to-end transformation. It also runs a private equity practice with portfolio-company case studies, which makes it one of the more PE-literate firms here.
Services: Forward deployed engineers, Agentic AI Pods, end-to-end AI transformation, GenDD methodology, private equity portfolio programs
Standout Clients: Portfolio-company case studies are published on its private equity page.
Best For: Mid-market companies and portfolio companies that want to start small with one embedded engineer and grow into a team.
Why Choose HatchWorks:
- A low-risk entry point of one senior embedded engineer
- A defined path from single engineer to accountable pod
- Anthropic-certified engineers plus a visible PE practice
Keep in Mind: The certification and outcome claims come from its own site. A pod is a team engagement, so confirm which engineers stay with you as the scope grows, and ask whether HatchWorks operates the system after the build ends.
6. Ciridae
Engineers embedded on site with real-economy mid-market companies, on a timeline measured in weeks.

Ciridae is a San Francisco AI transformation firm that raised a $20 million seed round in May 2026, led by Accel with Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, Sunflower Capital and Backcountry Ventures. CEO Jack Soslow is a former a16z partner and Meta data scientist. CTO Jack Weissenberger was an engineering leader at Salesforce. The new money goes into the engineering team.
Its model is forward deployed in the literal sense. Ciridae embeds engineers with its clients, and launch coverage cited implementation timelines as short as two weeks against a typical 18 months. Its focus is the real economy, meaning mid-market operating businesses rather than software companies. That makes it one of the few venture-backed forward deployed firms aimed squarely at mid-market operators.
Services: Embedded engineering, AI transformation, workflow builds on client systems
Standout Clients: None named in the independent coverage we reviewed.
Best For: Mid-market operating businesses outside the software sector that want something live fast.
Why Choose Ciridae:
- Engineers on site with your team, on a short published timeline
- A deliberate focus on mid-market operating businesses
- Top-tier venture backing to fund engineering growth
Keep in Mind: Ciridae is young, with no published headcount and no case studies with numbers that we could verify. It does not say publicly which models it builds on, so ask directly.
7. Blank Metal
A 30-person AI-native engineering firm with a health-care build documented on Anthropic's customer pages.

Blank Metal was founded in 2025 and describes itself as an AI-native engineering firm that takes enterprises from pilot to production. The team of 30 runs its own operations on Claude before deploying anything for a client. Claude Code powers about 90% of its engineering work, and the case study credits it with training more than 700 people on Claude Code and Cowork.
The best evidence is its work with Wondr Health, a digital weight-management program. Across a three-sprint engagement, Blank Metal built an AI coaching layer on Claude through Amazon Bedrock. Onboarding dropped from a 30-to-60-minute session to a 10-minute guided conversation. Wondr's clinical and coaching teams ran more than 700 test questions across six user personas, without engineering support, before any participant met the coach. A parallel safety subagent watches every turn and escalates to human coaches through Zendesk. That is what forward deployed work should look like: the domain experts test the system, and the engineers build the controls.
Services: AI application builds, AI coaching and agent systems, evaluation and safety tooling, Claude Code and Cowork enablement
Standout Clients: Wondr Health
Best For: Mid-market companies in regulated or sensitive domains that want a small senior team and a short sprint plan.
Why Choose Blank Metal:
- A documented build with clinical testers, safety escalation and evaluation built in
- A small team that runs its own business on the tools it deploys
- Sprint-based engagements that keep scope tight
Keep in Mind: Blank Metal is a year old with one public case. Wondr's first phase was heading into beta when Anthropic published the story, so long-run production results are not public yet.
8. OpenAI Deployment Company
OpenAI's answer to Ode: forward deployed engineers, more than $4 billion of backing, and a private equity consortium.

OpenAI launched the Deployment Company on 11 May 2026 to embed forward deployed engineers in organizations, find high-value uses for AI, and rebuild workflows around them. It launched with more than $4 billion in initial investment and is majority-owned and controlled by OpenAI. TPG leads a group of 19 investors, consultancies and systems integrators, with Advent, Bain Capital and Brookfield as co-leads and Bain & Company, Capgemini and McKinsey among the consulting partners.
The engineering bench comes largely from Tomoro, a London applied AI consultancy founded in 2023, which OpenAI agreed to acquire. The deal adds about 150 engineers and deployment specialists. Before the deal, Tomoro's clients included Tesco, Virgin Atlantic and Supercell. For PE-backed companies, the sponsor list matters: if your fund is in the consortium, expect an introduction.
Services: Forward deployed engineering, workflow redesign around OpenAI models, enterprise deployment
Standout Clients: Tesco, Virgin Atlantic, Supercell (Tomoro clients before the acquisition)
Best For: Companies standardized on OpenAI, especially portfolio companies of the consortium's sponsors.
Why Choose the Deployment Company:
- Direct access to OpenAI's models and engineers
- A large capital base and a ready-made bench from Tomoro
- Sponsor relationships that can speed up the start for consortium portfolio companies
Keep in Mind: The Tomoro deal needed regulatory approvals, and we could not confirm that it closed. The firm is OpenAI-first by design. Like Ode, its first loyalty runs to its backers' portfolios.
9. Accenture
Forward deployed engineers at global scale, under its own name for the role, with a named Claude outcome.

Accenture calls its forward deployed engineers "reinvention deployed engineers." Anthropic's partnership announcement describes them as the people who embed Claude in client environments, within roughly 30,000 Accenture professionals trained on Claude in a dedicated Accenture Anthropic Business Group. In March 2026 Accenture also launched a forward deployed engineering practice with Microsoft that puts thousands of AI-skilled engineers to work directly with clients. The same month it closed its acquisition of Faculty, bringing in more than 400 AI specialists. Accenture engineers are also in the first cohort of Anthropic's Frontier Academy.
The outcome evidence is real. In Anthropic's Cox Communications case study, Accenture is the transformation partner "already embedded across the company." Cox reports a 7x return on its first year of AI investment and an 86% cut in the cost of validating sales leads. Lead accuracy rose from 18% to 97%. About 2,500 people at Cox now use Claude Code, more than half of them outside engineering.
Services: Reinvention deployed engineers, Accenture Anthropic Business Group, Microsoft forward deployed engineering practice, Faculty's Frontier platform, change management, global rollout
Standout Clients: Cox Communications
Best For: Large enterprises running multi-year, multi-country programs that need forward deployed engineers in the thousands.
Why Choose Accenture:
- Thousands of forward deployed engineers across its Anthropic and Microsoft practices
- A named, quantified Claude outcome published by Anthropic
- Change management and global rollout under one roof
Keep in Mind: Accenture is built for Global 2000 programs. A $150M revenue company needing a six-week build will likely find the engagement shape wrong. It works with several model providers, so ask which practice will staff your work.
10. Tribe AI
A vetted network of AI engineers, assembled into forward deployed teams.

Tribe AI makes forward deployment its default working model, with team members sitting alongside the enterprise teams they serve. Its roles show the structure. Forward Deployed AI Architects work in the field, shoulder to shoulder with clients. Forward Deployed AI Engineers take those designs into production. It also hires forward deployed product managers.
Tribe runs a network model rather than a fixed payroll bench. TechCrunch reported a network of more than 500 contractors when it raised $3.25 million in 2024, after six years of bootstrapping. It partners with both OpenAI and Anthropic and works across healthcare, finance, manufacturing, cybersecurity, life sciences and enterprise software.
Services: Forward deployed architects, engineers and product managers, AI strategy, production builds
Standout Clients: None we could verify for this edition.
Best For: Companies that want a flexible forward deployed team with model optionality across OpenAI and Anthropic.
Why Choose Tribe AI:
- Forward deployment as the default way of working, with defined roles
- Access to a large, vetted network of senior AI talent
- Partnerships with both major labs
Keep in Mind: Staffing continuity depends on network availability rather than payroll. We found no recent named case studies, so ask for references that match your industry and size.
11. Tenex
Diagnostic first, then a company-wide rollout, with an estimated 70,000 hours a year at stake.

Tenex is an AI transformation firm whose public record centers on one large engagement. In early 2026, Advantage Solutions, which employs 60,000 frontline retail workers, commissioned an enterprise AI diagnostic from Tenex. The diagnostic found more than 50 AI experiments running across the company with no central owner. Advantage then stood up an AI office under a CEO-sponsored steering committee and trained more than 150 senior leaders, starting with the CEO.
The results in Anthropic's Advantage Solutions case study are specific. A recurring 10-hour weekly finance forecast check now takes under 30 minutes. A 150-person executive pilot grew to thousands of users, with more than 50 business unit champions building their own Claude solutions. Advantage is on track to redirect an estimated 70,000 labor hours a year from manual compliance checks to training and floor time.
Services: Enterprise AI diagnostics, AI governance setup, executive and champion training, Claude Enterprise rollout, workflow builds
Standout Clients: Advantage Solutions
Best For: Large frontline-heavy companies that need governance and adoption across the business before deep builds.
Why Choose Tenex:
- A published, quantified enterprise rollout on Anthropic's customer pages
- A diagnostic-first method that finds and ranks use cases before building
- Strong attention to governance and executive adoption
Keep in Mind: The public evidence is one engagement, and the 70,000-hour figure is an estimate. The work reads more like adoption and change management than embedded engineering, so ask how many engineers would sit with your team.
12. Invisible Technologies
A training-data heavyweight that now puts forward deployed engineers inside enterprises.

Invisible grew up doing reinforcement learning from human feedback work for AI labs. Sacra's research traces its growth to contracts with OpenAI, then Amazon, Microsoft and Cohere, and estimates 2024 revenue at $134 million, up from $60 million in 2023. It raised $100 million in growth capital in September 2025.
Its enterprise business pairs a platform with embedded technical teams. Invisible's forward deployed engineers own projects from scoping through deployment. They design AI workflows with language models, retrieval systems and automation tools, then support the live deployments. The forward deployed team integrates the platform with a client's data, systems and operating processes.
Services: Forward deployed engineering, AI workflow design, platform integration, model training and evaluation data
Standout Clients: AI labs for training-data work. We found no named enterprise forward deployed clients.
Best For: Companies whose AI problem is as much about data quality and evaluation as about building the workflow.
Why Choose Invisible:
- Deep experience in model training and evaluation data
- Forward deployed engineers who own scoping through live support
- A platform layer that makes deployments repeatable
Keep in Mind: The enterprise forward deployed business is newer than the data business, and its enterprise outcomes are not public. The platform tie-in means you are buying software as well as engineers.
13. Palantir
Where the forward deployed model started, and still the reference point.

Every firm on this list borrows from Palantir. Its own engineering blog explains the split between its "Devs" and its "Deltas," the forward deployed engineers. The Delta name is a throwback to early business development teams named after letters of the NATO alphabet. A third role, the deployment strategist, sits between the customer's problem and the engineering.
What you buy is different from the rest of this list. Palantir's forward deployed engineers deploy Palantir's own software, Foundry and its AI platform, inside your operations. For some enterprises that is exactly right, because the platform and the embedded team arrive together. For others it is a platform decision disguised as a services decision.
Services: Forward deployed engineers, deployment strategists, Foundry and AI platform deployment
Standout Clients: Not reviewed for this list. Palantir is a public company and reports its customers in its own materials.
Best For: Large enterprises and government agencies ready to standardize operations on Palantir's platform.
Why Choose Palantir:
- The most mature forward deployed practice anywhere
- Platform and embedded engineering delivered as one
- A long record in high-stakes, complex operations
Keep in Mind: You are choosing a software platform as much as a partner, with the lock-in that comes with it. It is the least model-agnostic and least mid-market option here.
14. McKinsey (QuantumBlack)
Strategy-house reach with hands-on engineers, now training forward deployed talent with both major labs.

McKinsey's technologists are in the first cohort of Anthropic's Frontier Academy, the residency that trains Frontier Deployed Engineers on a simulated deployment and then a real one. Dan Tinkoff, global co-leader of QuantumBlack, described the goal as helping engineers solve clients' toughest problems "hands-on-keys." McKinsey is also listed among the consulting partners in OpenAI's Deployment Company.
That double alignment is the point. McKinsey can bring sector depth and a value-creation lens from both lab ecosystems. For PE sponsors already using McKinsey on diligence or operating programs, adding embedded engineers inside the same relationship can be the path of least friction.
Services: AI strategy, QuantumBlack engineering teams, frontier deployed engineers, value-creation programs
Standout Clients: None named for forward deployed AI work in the sources we reviewed.
Best For: Large companies and large-cap sponsors that want strategy and embedded engineering from one firm.
Why Choose McKinsey:
- Engineers training directly with Anthropic in the Frontier Academy
- Consulting partner status in OpenAI's Deployment Company
- Sector depth and a value-creation mindset built into the work
Keep in Mind: We found no published forward deployed outcome. The first Frontier Deployed Engineer credentials are not expected until early 2027. Pricing and engagement minimums fit large programs, not a mid-market build.
15. Turing
A frontier-lab research partner building out an enterprise forward deployed bench.
Turing describes itself as a research accelerator for frontier AI labs and an enterprise partner for deploying advanced AI systems. Through 2026 it hired forward deployed AI engineers into a Production Engineering, Enterprise AI team in New York, San Francisco, Dallas and Bengaluru. The roles describe embedded, hands-on engineers who take generative AI applications from discovery through delivery.
Its enterprise thesis is sensible. A January 2026 Turing post argues that enterprises are moving past experiments toward governed, accountable systems, with cost per capability and smaller specialized models as priorities. The question is how much of that thesis has shipped for enterprise clients yet.
Services: Forward deployed AI engineering, enterprise AI application builds, model training and evaluation for frontier labs
Standout Clients: None named in the sources we reviewed.
Best For: Enterprises that value a partner with deep ties to frontier model training.
Why Choose Turing:
- Close working ties with frontier labs on model training
- A dedicated enterprise production engineering team
- Delivery hubs in the US and India
Keep in Mind: Most of the public evidence is recruiting copy rather than client outcomes. Treat the enterprise forward deployed practice as early, and ask for production references before you sign.
Final Thoughts on Choosing a Forward Deployed AI Engineering Partner
Forward deployed engineering moved from a Palantir quirk to the default delivery model for AI in about a year. Both leading labs, the largest consultancies, and a wave of new boutiques now claim it. The claim is cheap. The evidence is in who sits with your operators, what reaches production, which clients will vouch for it, and who is still there in month six. If you are weighing forward deployed AI engineering for your company, ask each firm on this list to show you all four.
Any of these 15 forward deployed AI engineering partners could do strong work for the right buyer. The difference comes down to your size, your platform, and how much ownership you want after launch. We think most mid-market companies are better served by a small senior team that embeds, ships, and stays than by a large program that hands over a repo. If that sounds like what you need, talk to our team about your first production workflow.
